Virgil Parker ​

Virgil Parker, expected class of 2021, is originally from Rochester, New York. Virgil is studying Journalism at Howard University. Virgil has had several internship positions at Goldman Sachs, the U.S Chamber of Commerce, and the Office of Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer. He has completed four study abroad trips. Virgil currently serves as the President of the Lambda Pi Eta National Honor Society at Howard. He has received several awards such as the ‘Next-Gen Scholar’ position in the Department of Strategic Alliances and Outreach in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the William Randolph Hearst Fellowship at the Aspen Institute. Virgil is a mentor for the Collegiate 100 of Howard University and has just recently been recognized as a White House HBCU Scholar. Upon graduation, Virgil will pursue a master's degree in Public Policy as a result of his desire to improve the lives of others which he will then use to become an economic foreign service officer.
