HBCU Scholarship for Future Law Students – Goodwin Procter lLP

Goodwin Procter LLP partners with Meta on the HBCU Scholarship program for high-achieving law students from historically excluded backgrounds who have an interest in corporate law. The program provides $15,000 scholarships to graduating seniors from historically excluded backgrounds who are currently attending HBCUs and have been accepted to an ABA-accredited law school for the fall.

Awardees will have the opportunity to interact with Goodwin lawyers and Meta counsels over the course of the year, as well as learn more about both organizations and their legal practices. Each awardee will also be paired with a Goodwin lawyer to receive mentorship during their 1L year.

Upon completion of their 1L year at law school, the scholarship recipients will be considered for positions in Goodwin’s 1L Diversity Fellowship program. Review information about the scholarship and how to apply here.

 

NIH Undergraduate Scholarship Program

Attention STEM majors! The NIH UGSP will pay up to $20,000 per academic year in tuition, books, & reasonable living expenses to scholarship recipients. Scholarship apps will open January 5 and close March 30. Review the scholarship description here and apply via this link.

Executive Leadership Council Scholarships

The ELC offers several undergraduate and graduate scholarships which are open to high-achieving Black students attending an accredited college or university in the United States. Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to community service. In addition to receiving a scholarship award, selected recipients are invited to participate in The ELC’s Honors Symposium.

Each scholarship program has unique eligibility requirements that candidates must meet for consideration. Students who are currently enrolled in a community college or junior college and have been accepted to an accredited four-year college are eligible to apply for undergraduate scholarships. Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) Scholarships

For more than three decades the CBCF in partnership with CBC Spouses has awarded scholarships to talented and deserving students. Each year, they award more than 300 scholarships to students that demonstrate leadership ability through exemplary community service and academic talent. Their scholarship programs support current or upcoming college students across a variety of disciplines. Review all open scholarships here.

Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF)

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) provides scholarships in partnership with various brands and companies year-round. Review the open scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year.

United Negro College Fund (UNCF)

The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) provides  scholarships in partnership with various brands and companies year-round. Eligible students must attend a UNCF member college. Review the open scholarships for the 2022 and 2023 academic years.

Disney College Program HBCU Cohort – Disney on the Yard

The Disney College Program is excited to offer a HBCU cohort powered by Disney on the Yard for summer 2023. This cohort provides an opportunity for meaningful connections and a sense of community where all participants can be their authentic selves as we work toward a more inclusive environment. Discover a unique living and working environment with participants from all over the world. The Disney College Program allows you to gain on-the-job experience with a world-renowned company, providing uniquely Disney learning experiences, all while preparing for your future.

White House HBCU Scholar Recognition Program

The White House Initiative on Educational Equity, Excellence and Economic Development through Historically Black Colleges and Universities (Initiative) is excited to announce our HBCU Scholar Recognition Program, a student recognition program designed to honor current HBCU students for their excellence, i.e., successfully preparing to compete for top opportunities that improve standards of living in their communities.

The HBCU Scholar Recognition Program will help form the next generation of leaders who exhibit and champion HBCU excellence.

We are looking for the best and brightest HBCU student leaders to participate in this prestigious program! This highly competitive recognition program is open to current HBCU students of all majors and classifications. Students accepted into the program will work with the Initiative for one academic school year and be immersed in an intensive experience working closely with one another and Initiative partners from a wide range of disciplines.

IT Fellowship – NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital

HBCU graduates of all majors are eligible to apply for a paid 2-year, full-time rotational program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Applicants must have a strong interest in healthcare technology and/or healthcare administration and leadership. Fellowship for Advancement and Resources – The Law Offices of Snell & Wilmer

FAR is a holistic pipeline initiative demonstrating Snell & Wilmer’s persistent and unwavering

commitment to matters concerning diversity and inclusion in the workplace and legal profession. FAR aims to address, if not eliminate, several obstacles that students from diverse backgrounds face on their path to becoming successful lawyers. Individuals who are accepted into the FAR Fellowship (“Fellows”) will receive multiple incentives at key junctures of their education and will maintain contact with an assigned Snell & Wilmer attorney (”mentor”) over the course of the fellowship. The goal of the program is to assure that each Fellow develops into a successful lawyer.
