​Ms. Brown Gaines is a native Washingtonian.  She is the principle attorney at a boutique law firm in D.C., which serves clients who contract with federal, state and local government.  The firm also handles select civil rights issues in federal courts throughout the country.  Ms. Brown Gaines holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Philosophy from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from the American University’s Washington College of Law.  Despite a busy law practice, Ms. Brown Gaines prioritizes service to the community by volunteering at the Father McKenna Center, a shelter serving the Washington D.C.’s homeless and low-income populations, and working with the Williams-Franklin Foundation.  Ms. Brown Gaines is raising two talented teenage sons, who keep her busy with their love for soccer.
