Nijel Brown

Nijel Brown, expected class of 2024, is from Jacksonville, Florida. Nijel is a Mechanical Engineering student at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Nijel has experience as a summer intern for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. Within this program, Nijel developed a small-scale self-driving vehicle. Additionally, Nijel was a member of the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) in Florida. Nijel has participated in Veterans’ Day Parades, the Heart Walk, and managed technical elements for after school events and activities. After graduating from FAMU, Nijel will become a mechanical engineer to design products advancing energy proficiency and improving the efficiency of vehicular systems.
