Na’Charlesia Floyd

Returning awardee, Na’Charlesia Floyd, expected class of 2022, is originally from Americus, Georgia. Na’Charlesia is studying Biology and Biomedical Engineering at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, Louisiana. At Xavier, she served as a Peer Dean in the Peer Dean Association where she helped freshmen and transfer students adjust to life at Xavier and move into their dorms. She has worked at Aerospace Mentoring at Xavier University as an aerospace researcher since August 2018. She has also researched at the National Science Foundation in Huntsville, Alabama. Na’Charlesia is currently an Honors Intern at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon graduation, Na’Charlesia would like to work for the Department of Defense researching rehabilitation and personal health informatics to be able to make assistive technology for the hearing-impaired, sight-impaired and mute.
