Myah Yancey

Myah Yancey, expected class of 2026, is from Suffolk, Virginia. Myah is studying Theatre Arts and Dance at Howard University. In the summer of 2023, she developed a dance program, “Dance Fitness by Myah.” Her program includes energetic dance fitness videos focusing on body toning and stretch therapy through artistic movement. In addition, she hosted her first live dance fitness session. Further, she was a participant in the Black Pianist Society’s Talented Youth of Color Virtual Art Show and the Smithsonian Institute Transcription Program. Last, Myah created the cover of the published book, Luna Star! Upon graduation, Myah plans to create a youth dance company with an emphasis on art expression and high-quality dance performance.
