Melody Douglas

Melody Douglas is a senior, expected class of 2019, who is from Des Moines, Iowa. Douglas will graduate from the University of the District of Columbia, where their vision is for all students to achieve their highest levels of human potential, with a bachelor’s degree in special education. She is currently working with Bridges Public Charter School as an Assistant Teacher and for Beyond the BASICS Aftercare Program as an Assistant Director. Furthermore, she has served as a moderator for the University of the District of Columbia and secretary for the Metropolitan Seventh Day Adventist Church. Upon graduation, Melody seeks to serve as a special education teacher to provide emotional, educational, and social support to the respective population.
