Kyla Wright

Kyla Wright expected class of 2019, is from Southfield, Michigan. She currently majors in Journalism and minors in Sociology at Hampton University, which is comprised of seven schools. Kyla served as Rhoden Fellows Intern with ESPN in New York City. She is Chapter President of the Golden Key International Honor Society and a member of Kappa Tau Alpha Journalism Honor Society. Kyla is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and writes for several media and journal organizations, including the Hampton Script Newspaper and the Hampton University Chapter of HerCampus.com. Upon finishing her bachelor’s degree, she plans to pursue a graduate degree at Texas Southern University and work in a dynamic media and journalism environment.
