Khyla Turner

Khyla Turner, expected class of 2022, is from Boston, Massachusetts. Khyla is studying Kinesiology at Hampton University, where she has maintained a 3.96 cumulative GPA. Khyla is certified in Emergency First Aid and Wound Care, HIPPA and FERPA certified, and is a National Association of Student Personnel Administrators Certified Peer Health Educator. She attended the Virginia Commonwealth University Summer Enrichment Program where she received instruction mirroring a first-year physical therapy professional student. She has experience as a rehab aide and a Research Intern increasing knowledge on the causes and prevention of cardiovascular related diseases. Khyla is Recording Secretary of the Phi Eta Sigma National Honors Society, a member the Freddy T. Davy Honors College, and President of the Hampton University Kinesiology Club. After graduating from Hampton, Khyla plans to become a pelvic floor physical therapist dedicated to treating high-risk women and their traumatic pregnancies.
