Kathy Brooks is the founder of Rupali Yoga LLC, a Program Management Professional (PMP), and currently serves as a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting LLP specializing in Enterprise Architecture, modeling, and data analytics services for the Government and Public Services practice. Ms. Brooks earned a BS in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from UCLA as well as an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. She has over 20 years of experience leading large-scale software development, modeling, architecture, and data analytics programs and is the co-author of several whitepapers including the Code in the Model Paradigm and the Aviation Security Investment Framework. As an Afro-Latina, she is an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA), and the Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF).

Ms. Brooks currently leads multi-disciplinary teams that develop crawl, walk, run or incremental approaches for clients looking to harness their organizational data. Existing data can be used to inform decisions via modeling, automation, and predictive analytics. Ms. Brooks has often been the only woman of color in the room, first in engineering classes and later, on development teams and in board rooms. She is passionate about driving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the recruitment, retention, and advancement of under-represented populations, especially in technical and senior leadership spheres so that the first is not the only.
