Jenai Frenette

Returning awardee Jenai Frenette, expected class of 2021, is a nursing major at Howard University, ranked the 89th best university according to U.S. News & World Report. Jenai is originally from Waterbury, Connecticut. Jenai has extensive volunteer experience with organizations like the Health Service Corp, Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society, and Hoops for Life. She has won several awards, including 1st Place in Poetry from the Afro-Latin-Indian Competition and Medical Innovation 1st Place with the HOSA-Future Health Professionals. Due to her love of children and desire to help families, Jenai plans to pursue a career in pediatrics.
