Jaylah Dorman

Jaylah Dorman, expected class of 2025, is from Durham, North Carolina. Jaylah is studying Health Education| Community Health at Howard University. In the summer of 2023, Jaylah participated in the Duke Center for Research to Advance Health Equity Summer Undergraduate Program (Duke RESURP). She also conducted clinical research at the Duke CR Institute and participated in a clinical observership with physicians on the main campus. She has founded a non-profit organization, HBCU Alumni Building Lasting Engagement (HBCU A.B.L.E.) with a mission to bridge the gap between generations and create a pipeline of opportunities through mentorship, professional development, and affirmation.
