Gabriella Forchion

Returning Awardee Gabriella Forchion, expected class of 2021, is from Clayton, New Jersey. Gabriella is studying Biology at Howard University. Gabriella has attended the Research Institute Summer Scholars program at the Children’s Hospital of Pennsylvania and has experience as a Patient Care Coordinator at Cornerstone Foot and Ankle. She has been published in the Spring 2021 issue of the Howard University Undergraduate Research Journal. This summer, Gabriella participated in the Continuing Umbrella of Research (CURE) Program at the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center for which she presented research on breast cancer and metabolomics. On campus, she is the Membership Coordinator for the Young Africana Leadership Initiative, a member of Sister Sister and HU Imprint. Upon graduation, Gabriella will attend medical school to become a physician specializing in Fetal and Maternal Health catering especially to Black and Latina women.
