D’nai Thomas

Returning Awardee D’nai Thomas, expected class of 2022, is from Atlanta, Georgia. D’nai is studying Clinical Laboratory Science at Howard University. D’nai is the Secretary and Graphic Designer of the Clinical Laboratory Science Society and the Director of Student Advocacy for the College of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) Student Council. On campus, she is also the Vice President and Campus Correspondent for Her Campus: Howard Chapter for which she curates media content for HBCU women. Specializing in social media strategy and content creation, D’nai is the Social Media Strategist for Howard University’s Royal Court. Additionally, D’nai is a Founder of Cocoa Diaries, a media platform by collegiate women to inspire and share the stories of Black female students. She is also the Director of Volunteers for the Bison Buddies Mentor Program helping form connections between students in the Washington, D.C. community and Howard University students. Upon graduation, D’nai will become a Physician Assistant to dismantle systemic racism and discrimination in Western medicine.
