Déja Daniel

Returning awardee, Déja Daniel is the 2023 recipient of the prestigious Honorable Louis Stokes HBCU Scholarship, annually awarded to the highest scoring applicant. Déja Daniel, expected class of 2024, is from Tallahassee, Florida. She is studying Criminology and Spanish at Howard University. In the summer of 2023, Déja participated in The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) program through their Leadership and The American Presidency (LTAP) track. Through TFAS, she also interned at the Coalition on Human Needs; a DC-based non-profit organization dedicated to promoting public policies which address the needs of low-income and other vulnerable populations. With her latest internship being located in Spain, Deja had the opportunity to experience a vast amount of cultural experiences related to her desired career field of law. Upon graduating, Déja plans to attend law school to become a defense Attorney and eventually a Judge to uphold the laws of the land.
