Charis Haynes

Charis Haynes, expected class of 2024, is from Covington, Georgia. Charis is studying Honors Biology, Political Science at Howard University. In the summer of 2023, she participated in two internship programs. The first internship was the Lewis Scholars Imhotep Program - a public health research opportunity sponsored by the Center for Disease Control at Morehouse College. The second internship was a virtual science policy internship hosted by the National Science Foundation. Charis is a Karsh STEM Scholar and on the Dean’s List. Her current interests are in health policy, community health education, and preventative health efforts.
